Pakistan

It is also known as the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) which is also known as Intermediate, is an official examination taken by the students of the Higher Secondary School or Intercollegiate college (Junior college) in Pakistan. When they've completed Matriculation grade 9 and 10, the students then enter in an intermediate college and complete their 11th and 12. After they have finished each grade, they again have to pass examinations that are standardized to the subject area they study. The tests are offered by provincial schools on a provincial scale and by the FBISE on a federal scale. Once they pass the test students receive the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). This level of instruction is also known as FSc/FA/ICS. There are a range of streams for students to choose for their 11 or 12th grade which include medical engineering pre-medical as well as humanities (or social science) as well as computer science and commerce. Each stream offers three electives in addition to three subjects that are compulsory, such as English, Urdu, Islamiyat (grade 11 only) and Pakistan Studies (grade 12 only).

Nepal
